Donald Capone, CFA, Portfolio Manager

Donald currently has over 7 years of market experience both as a Trader and Portfolio Manager.  He was an integral part of the formation of JK Capital Management in 2005, and has also been a member of the parent company J.K. Financial, Inc. since 2002.  Donald graduated from The University of Texas at Austin, with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from the McCombs School of Business.  Since graduation Donald has helped develop and deploy JK Capital’s main equity strategy, the Large Cap Core equity product.  Donald has used the tools he learned from both his undergraduate degree and his time in the CFA program to help develop a greater understanding of the valuation techniques required to effectively manage an equity portfolio.

In free time Donald enjoys spending time with his lovely wife Randi and their dog Zoe.  He is also an avid runner who has competed in various 5k and 10k races, with an ultimate goal of completing a Marathon.  When Donald is not behind the computer screens researching the next investment idea, he can be found on the golf course working on improving his game.

John Kvale, CFA, Founder

Frequent speaker and featured guest of many national publications with 20 years of capital market experience in the High Net Worth and Institutional market place, Kvale began his career at a large publicly traded investment firm working in a sales capacity for five years, before founding J.K. Financial, Inc. in 1995. Kvale, a Texan by birth and resides in Dallas with his wife Pam, and children, Sophia and Pierce.
